ConversaConmigo is made up of two primary components: - One-on-One live instruction via video conferencing interface, and - Self-paced study, homework assignments and exercises available 24/7. It's very important to remember that you're in class, you're NOT alone with your instructor. There's a strong support staff in your corner making sure your classes progress smoothly. Classes are monitored frequently by our language coordinator or our director to make sure you receive the quality of instruction Conversa is known for. One-on-One Instruction: The software we're using offers students and teachers a comprehensive set of tools to complement the conversation-based class. Here are a few characteristics: - Crystal clear audio - Real-time video: Students will always be able to see their teacher (teacher will be able to see students if they have a webcam) - Shared whiteboard: Students and teachers share a whiteboard where changes are visible in real time - Recording capabilities: Students can record each and every session for future reference (audio AND video - it's like taking the class all over again) Self-Paced Study: Over a great period of time, Conversa has developed a set of materials that we use in class every day. We have taken the necessary steps to make that material available to all of our students online via ConversaConmigo.com. All Conversa students will be able to access this area to review grammar lessons, create their own quizzes and view vocabulary lists. In addition, this is the tool that students will use to keep up to date with their online classes. Here's a list of features for self-paced learning: - Spanish lesson library - Españolómetro: At any point throughout your studies, the "Españolómetro" will tell you how far along our lessons you are. - Quiz Maker: Students can create their own quiz by establishing different criteria for exercise selection. Quizes are graded on the fly. - Homework: On occassion your teacher will assign homework directly from ConversaConmigo.com. Go into your locker to see and do your homework - submit it online. - Vocabulary lists: Students can search for specific words or view them as lists by category. Images and audio clips are available for most of the words. - Messaging: Send messages to Conversa staff and teachers. - Evaluation: Evaluate your teacher, staff member or system online.
